Bitcoin Blackjack is the latest adaptation of the classic card game. With roots dating back to the 1700s, blackjack is by far one of the most infamous bitcoin casino games.
Also known as 21, the objective of the game is to get 21, or as close to it as possible, all the while having a better hand than the dealer.
Just about everyone has played blackjack in one form or another at some point in their lives, but a small few have managed to master the art of blackjack.
Today, we’re taking a dive into the world of bitcoin blackjack and giving you all the information that you need to become a bitcoin blackjack master!
What is Blackjack?
Blackjack is a card game where players compete against the dealer to get the best hand.
The objective of the game is to get a value of 21 with the cards in your hand, or as close to it as possible.
Another way to win is by finishing with a hand that has a higher value than the dealer, or the dealer going bust.
At bitcoin casinos, blackjack is typically played with 6 to 8 decks of cards in a shoe.
How Do I Play Blackjack?
Playing bitcoin blackjack does require a certain amount of skill, if you want to be more successful over the long-run.
You can play as a total novice and win, but you will end up losing more over the long-run.
To play blackjack, you must pick a bitcoin blackjack stream from one of the best bitcoin casinos.
Most of these tables will have player limits, so you may have to wait for a seat to become available.
Once you’re seated at a bitcoin blackjack table, you select your chip size, and place it in the stake section on the table.
You can opt to place side bets, but these tend to be a waste of money, especially if you don’t know what you’re doing.
The dealer will then draw two cards for every player at the table, placing them face up.
Players take it in turns to make decisions on their next move, opting to take another card, double down or stand with their current hand.
You can decide on what to do by clicking the yellow, green or red buttons that will appear on screen once it’s your turn to play.
Once you’re happy with your hand value, you can hit stand and your hand value will be locked in.
If you opt to double down, you will only get one more card drawn and you’ll also throw a second bet onto the table that is the same size as your initial bet.
Once all players have made their decision on their hands, the dealer will then begin drawing their cards.
On all bitcoin blackjack tables, there will be rules for the dealer to follow when it comes to how they play their hand.
The dealer usually is required to stand on a 17, meaning that you should look to make a hand worth 18 or better to be safe.
Once the dealer has reached a value of 17 or higher, or gone bust, then the bets will be settled accordingly.
As long as your hand was worth more than the dealers, or the dealer went bust, you’ll be paid out as a winner.
If the hand is a tie, meaning you got the same value as the dealer, it will result in a push, which means you will get your stake back.
Are There Any Good Bitcoin Blackjack Strategies?
When it comes to strategies in blackjack, there is one that stands out as the best, when coupled with a few skills that you can learn.
Our best advice is to start off by learning basic strategy, which is essentially the best move you can make based on the cards that you have and what the dealer is showing.
There are thousands of combinations, but if you put in the hours, you can pick it up near perfectly in about a month or so.
If you don’t want to put in the hard work, you can print out basic strategy charts and keep them next to you while you play bitcoin blackjack – a major perk of playing bitcoin blackjack.
Once you’re mastered basic strategy, you can opt to take your bitcoin blackjack skills to the next level by learning to count cards.
While this isn’t illegal, per se, bitcoin casinos do frown upon it, so use it at your own risk.

Obviously, bitcoin casinos do put measures in place to cut down its impact on your performance, but it can still help you tilt the odds in your favor.
There are loads of great bitcoin blackjack card counting classes out there, but our personal favorite is one run by the Blackjack Apprenticeship.
It’s really easy to understand and the guys behind it are incredibly talented, you’ll learn a lot from them.
Once you’ve learned to count cards in blackjack, throw in the Martingale technique and you’re good to go.
Obviously, this is just our suggestion, you don’t have to do any of this. This is our go-to strategy when we hit the blackjack tables, and it pays off more often than not.
Does Card Counting Actually Work in Bitcoin Blackjack?
Card counting is a skill that you can pick up fairly quickly, and when combined with perfect basic strategy, turns you into a bitcoin blackjack master.
However, there are a few reasons as to why it’s not as effective in bitcoin blackjack.
First up is auto shuffling machines. These reshuffle the cards after every round, meaning there’s a permanent full shoe of cards.
These bad boys make card counting totally useless as at the end of the rounds, the cards are back in the shoe.
If you find a bitcoin blackjack stream without an auto shuffling machine, then your advantage will still be cut, but not by as much.

Bitcoin casinos place cards in the shoe that mean the shoe will end after that round and a new shoe will be used.
This card is usually placed with around 2 to 3 decks left, meaning that by the time your advantage really starts to kick in, it’s taken away from you.
That being said, card counting in blackjack will help you cut the house edge. In fact, it will bring it down to around 0.2%, which is pretty decent.
What’s the Bitcoin Blackjack House Edge Like?
Unlike other bitcoin casino games, the house edge on bitcoin blackjack varies depending on a number of factors.
These factors include the number of decks used, how many times you can split aces, which cards you can double down on, how a dealer treats a soft 17 and your skill level.
This means the house edge can go as low as 0.2% or as high as 10%, it all depends on the rules of the table and your skills
You can do your best to cut the house edge down as much as possible by looking out for a bitcoin blackjack table with as few decks as possible.
The more decks, the higher the house edge goes. But beware, bitcoin blackjack games with fewer decks usually have continuous shuffling machines.
Secondly, you’re going to want to put in the time and effort to learn basic strategy and how to count cards.
Only by mastering these two skills can you play blackjack with a house edge of 0.2%.
The Verdict
Bitcoin blackjack is a fun, fast-paced and potentially very lucrative bitcoin casino game. However, if you don’t put in the hard work, you can lose your bankroll faster than you can say blackjack.
If you want to make it in the world of bitcoin blackjack, we strongly suggest that you put in the time to learn the skill required.
Once you master these skills, you too can become a bitcoin blackjack pro.
